You must aim to get into the best affiliate networks eventually, but start small, and build your credibility and experience first. Aim for bigger and better affiliate networks later.

What if I can't get into the top affiliate networks, you ask? No worries! People ask me that question almost every day. Here is my proven 3-step plan to get into any affiliate networks:
Step 1: Start with affiliate networks that are easy to get into and get some sales (and experience) first. Affiliate networks that are easier to get into include:
CJ (Commission Junction), LinkShare, eBay Partner Network, and JVZoo.
Step 2: Get a professionally looking website with good content.
To get into the best affiliate networks, this is almost a must-have. This site doesn’t have to be big or complex, but it should definitely look like you have spent at least a few thousand dollars on it. It can be a review site, or your personal blog. Just Google for something like "how to build a WordPress website or blog" and you will be able to find a lot of free tutorials. Step 3: Once you get to at least $1,000 per month in sales with these easy-to-join affiliate networks, and have a great website, start to apply for the best affiliate networks.
Show them your earnings in other affiliate networks, and demonstrate you are an experienced affiliate marketer. Be confident in your communication with them. Use affiliate managers in your existing affiliate networks as references in your application.
So that's it for VIP Secret #1. It's easier said than done but at the same time, it's also NOT that complicated. Like everything else in life, we just need to put in some effort if we want to get results.

VIP Secret #2:
You must pick the right niches and the right offers.
In Part 1 of this 2-part PPC case study, I shared with you the best 17 niches you should promote. These niches are ranked from the most popular niche to the least popular one. At this end of this video, you will find out how to see exactly how many of the 767 PPC campaigns are in each of these niches. So keep watching!
Picking the right niches is only half of the story. The other half is picking the right offers. There are many different strategies in picking affiliate offers to promote. Here I am going to share with you what has worked extremely well for me and my 100+ PPC clients.
Step 1: Obviously, we need to make sure the affiliate offers we pick are in the right niches, which we just talked about.
Step 2: Each affiliate offer should meet the basic requirements I mentioned in my Easy TV Money course. To refresh your memory, these requirements are:
PPC should be allowed. This is, of course, if you plan to only use PPC as your promotional method.
Google Monthly Searches for the product name should be at least 1,000 per month, and/or the Bing Ads searches for it should be at least 400 to 500 per month.
Trademark bidding should be allowed if you only plan to do brand bidding.
The average payout should be more than $10. Sometimes I may go down to $8.
The landing page domain name should match the product name.
Step 3: We need to make sure that the domain of the offer's website is at least 12 months old.
The unfortunate reality in the affiliate marketing industry is that there are a lot of fly-by-night merchants that launch low-quality and questionable products. These products tend to disappear or rebrand after a short period of time. One way to reduce this risk is to only promote affiliate products that have been in the market for at least 12 months and a simplified way to check this is to check the domain age of the landing page using the WhoIs service. Just enter the domain name in WhoIs.net and make sure the website was registered at least 12 months ago.
Step 4: It is a big plus if an offer has free trials, and even better if it is a rebill product.
Free trial means a product is free and customers only pay for shipping. Rebill means customers will be charged usually a monthly fee unless they cancel their subscription. Free trial and rebill often go hand in hand. Merchants would lure customers in with a free trial offer, and charge them monthly after the free trial. OK, that's all for VIP Secret #2.
VIP Secret #3
VIP Secret #3:
Don't engage in a bidding war with your competition.
It would be ideal if your ads can be at the number 1 ad position for the keywords you are bidding. However, if you just can't seem to achieve that goal after weeks, or even months of rigorous optimization, it's time for you to play smart.
How do we do that?
Use the subdomain technique that I am going to share with you next. Here is how to do it. Let's say John and Mary are bidding on the same keywords to promote my new digital marketing agency, 631Marketing, and the display URLs for both of their ads are 631Marketing.com. Due to the one unique display URL policy per search results page in Bing Ads and Google AdWords, only one of their ads will show on each page. If John has tried everything to overtake Mary's ads but failed after months of ongoing effort, he can use this highly effective subdomain technique that I invented back in 2005, where he would create a subdomain on a domain he already owns, for example, 631marketing.john.com. Then he can redirect this subdomain to his affiliate URL for 631Marketing. This way, John doesn't have to overtake Mary for his ad to show up on the same page at Mary's ad. In fact, it can very well be the case that Mary is paying $1 per click to be at position 1, and John is only paying 30 cents to be at position 2. I will talk more on how to do a redirect in VIP Secret #5.
VIP Secret #4
Let's now move on to VIP Secret #4:
You should always track your campaigns, even if you are only bidding on brand keywords, or the so-called trademark keywords.
Why is tracking so important for PPC? Because efficiency is everything in PPC. With PPC tracking, you can discover what keywords and ads are performing well, and what keywords and ads aren't. This allows you to eliminate inefficiencies in your campaigns.
You will have a huge competitive advantage over your competitors who are not tracking their PPC campaigns. In VIP Secret #5, I will share with you how you can track your PPC campaigns easily and for free. VIP Secret #5
VIP Secret #5:
You should hide your converting keywords from your affiliate managers and merchants.
Before I continue, I want to make it crystal clear that I am NOT asking you to break the rules of the affiliate networks you work with. Not at all. Instead, if you have been following my work for a while, you would know I am 100% against any gray or black hat stuff. In fact, you should ALWAYS make sure you follow the terms of Bing Ads and those of your affiliate networks.
HOWEVER, after playing the affiliate marketing game for more than 15 years, I also know for a fact that affiliate managers and merchants may mark their offers as "expired" for certain affiliates or set a cap on sales once they see these affiliates are making a lot of money. Merchants may also steal your converting keywords if they can see these keywords in affiliate networks.
As a champion of newbies and underdogs, I want to do everything to help new affiliates navigate the often treacherous waters of the affiliate marketing world, and help you succeed. So this VIP Secret can protect you from the sometimes fickle affiliate managers and greedy merchants.

This means that Mobooka has the highest number of offers, SellHealth is the 2nd, and Nutryst is the 3rd, etc. HOWEVER, and this is a BIG however, I highly recommend you don't just apply for the first few affiliate networks and ignore the rest. The second list here is the complete list of pretty much all the affiliate networks you can ever find in the market. In this spreadsheet, not only can you see the 17 niches, you can also see out of the 767 PPC campaigns I created for my clients, how many of them are in each niche. This is extremely useful information. As you can see here, over one third of the campaigns are in the Beauty: Skincare niche. Another 22% are in the Health: Male Enhancement niche. There is actually a reason why these two niches are so profitable. Products in these niches usually have two things in common. One, they usually offer free trials. Customers only have to pay for shipping. Two, they are rebill products. This means that after the free trials, customers will automatically be charged a monthly fee to receive more supply unless they call to cancel their subscription. Other good niches to target are Fitness: Muscle Building, Health: General, Fitness: Weight Loss, and Beauty: General. Health: General usually includes offers related to certain diseases, illnesses and somewhat embarrassing problems. Beauty: General includes offers related to grooming, breast enlargement, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, hair loss, etc. So next time when you search for offers in your affiliate networks, pay close attention to these popular and profitable niches.
